The ARPDC First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Moodle courses are formatted to align with the outcomes from the Alberta Program of Studies. There are resources and learning activities specific to the learning outcomes in each core subject. These resources are intended to serve as options for educators to consider in their curricular programming.
Educators can participate in professional learning which builds their capacity to acquire, connect, and understand the attributes, skills, and knowledge that contributes to effectively teaching First Nations, Métis, and Inuit content and perspectives to all students.
Through conversations with educational leadership and regional First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, educators can explore and develop a deeper understanding of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives and content within a local community context. This understanding can inform an educator’s decision in accessing and selecting appropriate resources for curricular programming.
