Provincially developed language programs include complementary programs in a wide variety of international languages, including Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Punjabi, Spanish and Ukrainian.

Research supports that learning a second language is beneficial for students—it really does not matter which language they choose. Knowing the benefits of second language learning and the realities of the global marketplace, it is in our students' best interests to learn a second language before graduating from high school.
