Class Dojo is one of my favourite apps for monitoring student behavior.  You set it up on your computer and then you can use your handheld device to maontor student behavior during class.  Could be used to montor student teachers or for peer evaluation of instructional practice.  Behaviors to be monitored are completely customizable.  Reports are created with a pie chart type graphical interface.  Easy to use and set up.
