Does anyone have some ideas on how to conceptualize these concepts. Please help.


How Sample Size, Confidence Level and Margin of Error are Influenced by Each Other

• Sample size, confidence level, and population size determines the confidence interval for the confidence level.

• A confidence interval is expressed as the survey or poll result, plus or minus the margin error

• The margin of error increases as the confidence level increases ( assuming the same sample size).

• The sample size affects the margin of error. When the sample size is large the margin of error is small (assuming the confidence level remains the same).

• The sample size that is needed increases as the confidence level increases ( assuming the margin of error remains the same)
