With the end of the semester fast approaching, what would you change the next time you teach a course that you taught this semester?

I taught the course using the textbook in the following order:

Chapters: 1,3,2, 9  Cumulative Exam #1
Chapters: 4-6  Cum Ex #2
Chapters: 10 & 11  Cum Ex #3
Chapters: 7 & 8 Cum Ex #4

Some things I am considering are:
1. teaching chapter 10 last as I think it is a good review for the majority of the course;
2. actually having 5 cumulative exams instead of 4 as the first one was TOO LATE... need something sooner or we need to consider doing chapter 11 first and split the 5 chapters into 2 cumulative exams
3.  there has been some discussion about teaching chapter 11 (PCBTh) FIRST and the Math 30-2 class would do the same to ease transition between courses... mainly those students moving from 30-1 to 30-2... I would LOVE comments on this if anyone thinks this might work

ANYONE else have comments, I would love to hear them.

Thanks!

One more question :-)

Has anyone taught the course in the order of the diploma?

1. All function/transformations

2. Trig

3. PCBTh

IF SO, did you just have three major tests at the end of each unit?

Thanks,

Tereza
