Math 20-2 Teachers -- How Can I Help You?

I have been doing alot of reflecting over the past month on how I can be of assistance to the Math 20-2 teachers throughout this semester.

I thought putting my notebook lessons online for teachers would be a good idea, so I did Unit 1 Lesson 1.

Then I realized that this may not help others.

So I guess what I am saying is I am here to develop materials for you.  So if you want to think ahead and need an investigation, a quiz, a test, a review sheet, please email me your request.

Please give me at least a week's notice as I do have other commitments.  And also, I will take requests on a first come, first serve basis.

I hope this helps all of you and I am looking forward to being put to work.

A list of potential topics for the research project would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Shauna

So would there be an interest in a webinar on this topic?

I am wondering if a list of Projects has been identified? i am teaching 20-2 for the first time and am wondering if there is a Measurement/Proportional Reasoning Project that can be used as a summative assessment for the unit?

Thanks.

I've adapted the Mice to Be Here Chapter Task from the textbook. It's fun and covers the objectives of the unit. I don't give a unit test for this chapter, the project is their assessment. I usually teach a concept like Area scale factor and then give them class time to apply their knowledge to the project.
