There has been some interest in working together to create a replacement -- practice final examiination for the Math 30-2 course.  I have created a blueprint for the mock exam.  Can all of you take a look and add some constructive criticism on thoughts to make it better.  I am very well aware that some units overlap each other.  But I also feel that we need to start with a good foundation and then adapt as we go along.

Also remember I am using the diploma examination specifications provided to us by Alberta Education.

Thoughts?
---------------
REPLACEMENT EXAMINATION BLUEPRINT

Logical Reasoning - 6 questions
Set Theory -- 4 questions (3 MC - 1 numerical response)
Games -- 2 questions  (2 MC)

Probability -- 14 questions
Counting Methods -- 7 questions  (5 MC - 2 numerical response)
Probability -- 7 questions  (5 MC - 2 numerical response)

Relations and Functions - 20 questions
Rational Expressions and Equations - 4 questions  (3 MC - 1 numerical response)
Polynomial Functions - 4 questions  (2 MC - 2 numerical response)
Exponential Functions - 4 questions  (2 MC - 2 numerical response)
Logarithmic Functions - 4 questions  (3 MC - 1 numerical response)
Sinsuoidal Functions - 4 questions  (2 MC - 1 numerical response)

We really should try to keep to the 34% - 30% - 36% -- Conceptual -- Procedural -- Problem Solving split as best as we can for the questions that we are assigned to do.

Hi Candace,

I am doing my mock diploma over one class so I will be doing 20 questions instead of 40.  Not sure what others are doing.  :)

How about this.  Let's make a 40 question exam.  I will put it into a word document so that all can adapt.  So you can make 2 - 20 exams for your students to use.
