Hello Colleagues

I am looking for some input on this outcome.

Do you assess it in one unit along side Set Theory or do you put a question or two in each of the units?

I am interested.  Please share.  Right now I assess it with Set Theory.  But I am wondering if putting one question per unit would be a better way of assessing the outcome.  It does not have to be on exam.  Could be in a summative assignment.

Thoughts?

We created three "game days" where the kids team up and work their way through a series of puzzles and games, for marks.  We also build a puzzle/game question into most of our assessments.

What type of games/puzzles do you use for these days?

I have a book of Puzzles and Logic Problems.  I have selected ones from that book that are similar to the ones that were shown to us from Alberta Education.

I am loving that idea.  Can you share more with all of us?

I agree!  It would be so nice to have a bank of digital copies of puzzles/logic questions. I intended on including one puzzle on each of my unit exams - but have run out of material.

I have a book full of math brain teezers - I hope to start scanning questions that I think would be suitable and then post them.

Next week there will be a section just dedicated to Logic/Puzzles.  We can start building great more and more resources as a group.
