Is there anyone out there that is doing a different order of units other than then one that is in the textbook.
Can you please share your reasons why?
Thank you.

My plan is slightly out of order from the textbook, as follows:
Unit 1: Set Theory and Probabality (Exclude 3.3) (25%)
Unit 2: Counting Methods (Include 3.3) (25%)
Unit 3: Rational Expressions and Equations (14%)
Unit 4: Polynomial and Sinusoidal Functions (18%)
Unit 5: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions (18%)
Why? I like fewer units. I think it'll be interesting to make some connections (or not) between certain polynomial and sinusoidal graphs.
What do you think about the weighting distribution?
Hieu Ho (Lillian Osborne)
This is what the Diploma Examination is going to emphasize
Logic & Reasoning -- 17%
Probability -- 33%
Relations and Functions -- 50%
So I think you are right on track with your weightings. However, just a question, how much are you going to weight the Research Project?
I'm not thinking of doing the research project this semester (being the first time through the course); perhaps I may in the second semester. However, I'll try to incorporate some mini-projects, as time allows, into each unit.
Within each unit, I'm thinking of assigning the weightings to be: Unit exam (70%) and Quizzes and Assignments (including mini-projects) (30%).
What's your plan?
